North Coast 500 – Trip Summary

In the Winter/Spring of 2016 I put together a two-week trip around the North Coast 500 focusing on Wester Ross, Sutherland, and Caithness (I’d visited Easter Ross on several previous occasions). My aims for this trip were to experience this “new” route and bring attention to an under-touristed corner of Scotland. Little did I expect to find arguably the most beautiful slice of the highlands. Along the way I contacted various accommodations, like The Torridon Hotel, and distilleries like Wolfburn and Old Pulteney to engage in small-scale mutually beneficial partnerships.
